Bring Out The Wedges!

I was digging through my shoe rack this morning and found these way at the top...

How did I forget about these?? I bought them a couple summers ago so I don't remember where exactly I got them from but Forever 21 sounds about right...
Now I'm not really a fan of heels. Not at all actually because of one thing; they are hard to walk in. Stilettos? Don't even get my started...

Wedges, I think, are totally wearable. I love the platform of the heel and the thickness allows me to walk easily. These will be perfect for summer.

Haul: Elf Studio Line

ELF will always hold a place in my heart because it was the very first line of makeup I bought from and it was basically what started my passion for makeup.

My first purchase was from the regular line where everything is only $1! I haven't bought much from them in a while not because I didn't like the products but simply because I began wandering around in different brands and kind of... forgot about the line. I still get email notifications from ELF for sales and I thought I would take advantage of the 50% off on the entire Studio Line since I've heard good things about it. *Lots of pictures because there are lots of swatches*

Oh and I got to play with these products so I am capable of giving mini reviews. First and foremost, the Powder Brush.
People have said that this brush is fabulous for liquid foundation but as I have mentioned before, I've never tried liquid foundation. I can tell that it would work though because of the denseness and when the time comes, I will try it for that reason. As of now I use it for bronzer. Overall it's a multifunctional brush and it's super soft too!

Speaking of bronzer... I also ordered the Warm Bronzer.

I didn't even bother taking the picture without flash because you couldn't even see them. So the farthest on the left is all of them swirled together and then the following is each square separately. This product is way too powdery!! When I swirl my brush in it it looks like a sand storm... plus it smells weird.

Now on to the blushes!
Top: Left is Peachy Keen and right is Mellow Mauve. Bottom: Left is Gotta Glow and right is Candid Coral.

L to R: Mellow Mauve, Gotta Glow, Candid Coral, Peachy Keen. I LOVE these blushes because they are so pigmented! I'll admit they are a little powdery but no where near how the bronzer is. By the way, Gotta Glow is a gorgeous highlighter and I don't own NARS Albatross but I hear they look very similar.

Eyeshadow time.

Swatches L to R: Pebble Saddle, Mystic Moss, Sand Dollar, Amethyst, Wild Wheat (I know you can't really see it... It's a nude color), and Raspberry Truffle.

I don't have a base under those shadows and the pigmentation is still really decent. With $3 a pop you can't go wrong with these.

The only product I wouldn't recommend is the bronzer but I was very satisfied with everything else. Do you recommend anything from ELF that you love? I would love to try new things for my future order :)

Ini Mini Miny Fendi!

I love love love sunglasses. I buy many many pairs because I tend to lose them or break them because I'm not extremely careful. No worries though because a lot of the ones I own are the cheap ones that you buy off the street or that come with deals... you know like the 2 for 20. I adore them all and sometimes I feel like I don't even need to get designer sunglasses because, well, they are all gorgeous!

This time around, however, I wanted something a little different. Something like this...

Fendi Sunglasses. I will always go for big sunglasses... that's just my thing. Lately I have been wearing my aviator style ones and I love them but like I said I want a change once in a while and that is why I picked this beauty up. I love the white rims and the frames fit my face perfectly. It was expensive yes, but it is a good investment. It was meant to be... or that's what I tell myself to soothe the buyers remorse.

Picture time! Tell me what you think :)

Have a great weekend!

You Lost Your Chance

Chanel's fragrance in Chance. I believe there are three different ones... the one I have is EAU Tendre and here is what it looks like.

I got this as a gift probably a couple months ago and I DID give it a chance (wink wink) and I really tried to at least like it but I just can't. It is described as a young scent, white musk, seductive and innocent, blah blah blah. I am horrible at describing what things smell like but to me, it has a strong floral scent and I hate floral scents. I am someone who loves fruity scents more than anything. My only other favorites are sweet scents but even those don't overcome my love for fruitiness. For example, I gave my sister the Aquolina Pink Sugar where as I chose the DKNY Be Delicious.

Chance is a no no in my book.

Something totally off topic... I have been obsessed with this drink right here.

Photo from Google because I ran out today. Of course.

Lipton Green Tea (any brand is fine but I usually stick to lipton)! It's yummy, healthy, and it's great for your skin. *It also helps with weight loss* I try to drink a cup a day though sometimes I forget but even then I have really noticed a difference in my skin. It looks healthier and I couldn't be happier. Why didn't I do this earlier?? So for those of you who haven't sipped the miracle, save yourself the question that I just asked myself and pick up some green tea at the store. Trust me... you'll thank me later.

I Like Me Some Orgasm

Girls and... boys... get your heads out of the gutter! I thought long and hard about what this title should be and this is the best I could come up with at one in the morning.

I am talking about NARS lipgloss in Orgasm.

Like I said, lipglosses are a must have for me in the summer time so lately I've been pulling out my favorite ones. I rediscovered this gloss that I bought several months ago and fell in love with it yet again. Now I don't own the blush but the descriptions are the same for both... a peachy pink shimmer. And that's exactly what it is.

This lipgloss is a little pricey at $24 a pop but it is GORGEOUS to say the least. If you wanted to splurge on a lip product I highly suggest you invest in NARS Orgasm. It's orgasmic! Hahaha...

Overview: NYX Megashine Lipglosses

Since summer is just around the corner, I thought this would be a proper post. A must have make up product for me whether I go shopping or swimming is lipgloss. The light coverage and shine they give are perfect for those hot days where a lipstick doesn't sound too appealing.

I hate NYX Round Lipglosses because of one thing... the scent! I am pretty damn picky about the smell of a product and I seriously could not stand those. The Megashine Lipgloses also have a scent to them but in my opinion, they smell delish!

Anyways, on to the important stuff... the swatches!

From left to right: French Kiss, Beige Pearl, Dolly Pink, Sweet Heart, Natural, Sugar Pie, Smokey Look, Beige

As you clearly see... these glosses are intensely pigmented and they are not sticky whatsoever. I don't mind stick lipglosses at all but for those of you out there who don't like them these would be great for you. There are so many colors to choose from and on top of that they are really affordable! I will be keeping at least one of these babies in my make up bag at all times.

XOXO

Love It Or Hate It #1

I am going to start doing this "love it or hate it" thing which is basically going to be a personal opinion/review on whether I, well...love or hate a product.

Today I will be talking about Rimmel's Max Volume Flash Mascara...
I have it in the color black. The packaging is so cute because its PINK and better yet it is from the drugstore so it is super affordable. But, not only do I adore the packaging, I love the product as well!

Here is the wand and it isn't all that special really... just a typical mascara wand with plastic bristles. Combined with the formula however, it's magic.

Abra Cadabra...

With two coats it lengthens and gives volume and doesn't clump. What more could you ask for in a mascara? I, for one, love piling on mascara to get the fake lash effect and with this, I didn't even need to do it. Ah-ma-zing!

I think it is obvious that I love this mascara. I definitely recommend it so the next time you're in your local drugstore perhaps you can check it out for yourself :)

Eyeliner Comparison

Well... I'm back :) Are you guys tired of me apologizing for being gone? I'm sorry! Everything in my life right now is hectic, to say the least! Summer is coming however and I WILL be posting more frequently I promise but please hang on for now.

On to the good stuff... I finally figured out the camera ordeal and I have decent quality now! So to celebrate I thought "why not take some pictures?" That would be the only right thing to do. Lets get on with it...

Urban Decay 24/7

VS

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner

So here are the two swatched on my hand...

The one on the left is the Urban Decay and the one on the right is the Prestige. You tell me which one is darker. Many people are under the impression that the UD pencil is the best one out there... darkest, creamiest, and longest lasting eyeliner. I used to think that as well that is until I purchased the prestige. Obviously the prestige liner is much darker and in my experience stays on MUCH longer and it is just as creamy. After I let these stay on for about two minutes I ran the smudge test by rubbing my fingers across both of them and what do you know? The prestige liner didn't budge where as the UD liner faded some.

Do I even have to say it? The Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner is the winner! It is so black, its creamy, it stays on, AND it is half the cost of the Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner. I suggest you all try this out before you, lack of a better word, waste your hard owned cash on the over hyped UD.

It seems like I'm hating on Urban Decay but I really think they have some great products. I have a couple palettes and some lipliners which are nice but I have been loving THIS a lot...
Yes, ladies and gents, the famous UDPP. I usually use MAC's paintpots as bases and I have several other eye primers but I finally gave in and bought it and I'm glad I did.
