40 Beauty Questions

Hey beautiful bloggers! I apologize for not posting for over a week now but I have been sick and on top of that I had to work a ton these past few days so... yeah. But enough whining! Like I said, I guarantee you all that reviews will be on here very soon as well as FOTD's but I looked like crap and felt like crap so no pictures were taken.

I thought, instead, I could post a beauty tag. It's quick, easy, and well, informative I suppose :) With that said, enjoy!

SKINCARE

-How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice

-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)
I usually have super dry skin but now it feels normalish? I think its my moisturizer
-What is your current facial wash?
Purity from Philosophy

-Do you exfoliate?
Yes I exfoliate twice a week

-What brand do you use?
St Ives Apricot Scrub

-What moisturizer do you use?
Cetaphil's Moisturizer (huge tub)

-Do you have freckles?
No I do not

-Do you use eye cream?
Yes Estee Lauder's Eyzone Repair Gel

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
I used to but it has gotten a lot better

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
No can't say I have

MAKE-UP

-What foundation do you use?
Like I said, I hardly ever wear foundation but when I need it I use Prescriptive's Mineral Foundation

-How about concealer?
MAC Studio Finish Concealer

-Do you know your undertone color?
I'm pretty sure I have warm undertones

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
They're gorgeous but I rarely wear them, unlike my sister, who wears them EVERY day

-Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes I do but I don't always do it

-What brand of mascara do you use?
I like a lot of drugstore mascaras... lloreal, covergirl, maybelline, etc.

-Sephora or MAC?
This is a toughy! Sorry but I gotta say both :)

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
Not yet

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Brushes and fingers

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Sure do

-For the face?
Nope

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
I love my neutrals

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Pencil and gel liners

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Not very often

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
Messy but gorgeous so I deal

-Do you use mineral makeup?
Yes I do. I plan to use liquid foundation one day though

-What is your favorite lipstick?
Any lipstick that is nude, pink, or peachy

-How about lipgloss?
Same colors as above and I actually love sticky lipglosses so a lot of MAC's lipglasses are my favorite

-What is your favorite blush to use?
I love all my blushes!

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
On occasion I do purchase makeup palettes

-Do you like drugstore makeup?
Love them! Some products are just as good if not better than high end

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
I actually have never been to a CCO (I know it's shocking!)

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
Yeah I would love to take make up classes!

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
Sometimes if I'm in a rush but usually its a minor mess up like mascara on the eyelid. I hate that!

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Probably like many, the unatural tattoed eyebrow thing

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
Yeah color is fine and though I am a neutrals girl I do try to use my vibrant shades

-Which celebrity always has great make up?
The Kardashians... hands down

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?
Eyeliner period.

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
I have done it before and I HATE it but if I ever had to then I would

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
Not horrible but not good either

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
Everyone says this but to be totally honest... MAC. Yeah I said it

-What do you think of Makeup?
Refer to my first post and you will know how I feel and what I think about make up. To keep it short and simple, I LOVE MAKE UP!

Orange You Gonna Have a Tart?

Pathetic title numero dos. In my defense, I am trying to give off a very obvious hint in the title. Get it? Proabably not...

In my previous post I told you I was going to figure out the whole camera thing and guess what? I did! It isn't perfect so please excuse the blurriness. I tried to put it on ten thousand different settings but it still didn't work and I have no patience so... yeah. The problem is it doesn't focus whenI take pictures close up but when taken far away it's crystal clear. Whatever, I (probably my boyfriend) will get it figured out and it will be picture perfect in the future.

Anyways, onto my first review! Again I apologize for the poor quality but I'm working on it.

Essie Tart Deco

I got this gorgeous shade at Ulta a few weeks back and I am loving it. However, it is not true to the color in the picture. It looks extremely peach but in actuality it is a bright orange (hence the title). The formula is amazing, two coats is all you need to get an opaque finish. If you are looking for a more peachy color I suggest China Glaze Peachykeen which I have also and love just as much. Tart Deco has "spring" written all over it so you couldn't pick it up at a better time. Overall, this polish gets a thumbs up from me.

Just A Thought...

PROJECT 10 PAN.
How ironic. My last post was a wishlist and now I'm talking about not buying any makeup until I finish ten products?

LOL I am totally kidding! I am in no way, shape, or form physically and/or mentally ready for project 10 pan. It just isn't going to happen. I did, however, attempt to do it a while ago and I would say for my first try it wasn't bad. I ended up finishing about six products and then, well, I gave up. I know I know not good but I was pretty damn proud of myself :)

Anyways, I haven't yet posted actual pictures that I took but I have two excuses for that. Number one, I have no idea how to work settings on my old camera, and two, I am super busy with work therefore I don't have the time to learn. I promise I will tonight though and I will get it down. With that said, be prepared to see reviews, FOTD's, all that good stuff.

Before I sign off, I want to thank my followers for simply following my blog! It means so much to me and I honestly don't give a s*** (told you I curse) whether I have one or ten thousand followers because just having anyone read my blog is good enough. Yes I know this was cheesy but you knew it was bound to happen. XOXO

Wishlist 4/11

Lately I have been trying desperately not to buy any makeup because to be completely honest I have way too much already! There is one small problem with that though...

I am an addict therefore I can't be helped :)

So here are my list of things in which I plan to buy, one step at a time.


1. MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation
You all should know that I have never used liquid foundation and that is because I feel it is way too much coverage than I need. I have a mineral foundation that I use on occasion for when I have one of those "bad face days" but with all the good reviews I have seen on this powder foundation I want and need to try it.


2. MAC 130 Brush
Since I want the foundation I of course need to have the brush that came out with it as well. They are like two peas in a pod. Nothing else more to say.


3. LORAC Multiplex 3D Lipgloss
The name of these lipglosses say it all. They are so unique and I want more specifically 3D and Clich which to my luck are the ones that are always sold out.


4. Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Rude
This is a peachy coral blush that I must have at some point. People have raved about these cream blushers and I want to see just how good they are.


5. L'Oreal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black
I seriously could just run out of my house and go pick this up but I haven't... why? Simply because one, I am loving my gel liners and two, I don't do real well with liquid liners but since this one has a felt tip I'm thinking I should try it.


6. YSL Rouge Volupte #26
These lipsticks have always been on my wishlist but they are so expensive! I am a lipstick fanatic, especially for those peachy shades. Plus, I hear they feel so good on the lips and whats better than that??


7. Lancome Hynose Mascara
People have told me a lot of good things about this mascara. I already own the definicils mascara which is pretty amazing WITH the primer so I want to see how this one does.


Well, that's it for my wishlist as of now. All I can say is you gotta work hard to play hard!

Okay I'll admit, the title is beyond pathetic but what can I say? I'm far too excited to think of one creative! Don't worry though, my juices will start flowing in the upcoming posts (lets hope). Anyways, who am I you ask? My name is May and I'm just an ordinary girl who loves makeup! I am a self-taught makeup artist and I plan on freelancing in the near future. I will be attending school to become a nurse because I love helping people. With that said, there is much more that I love besides makeup as well. I could list hundreds of things but I wouldn't want to bore you all! So, to keep it short, I love my family and my friends. But on to why I made this blog. I have been watching YouTube makeup videos for a while now and though I would love to be a guru and start making videos, I have not found enough courage to do so... yet. I do have an account (XSMirage) in which I keep open until one day I face my fear and start uploading. However, until then, this is where I shall be reviewing products, product raves, swatches and so much more!

I view makeup as a creative outlet for me. As a child, I hated drawing with crayons, instead, I used my mom's lipstick. It can transform the way one looks not only by the outside but the inside as well. I love watching "make me up" shows and I love seeing the finished result but more importantly, the expression on the person's face. Makeup, to me, is not simply something you slap on your face day to day but something that brings the beauty inside you shine through. Making this blog is something that is and will be fun for me and I hope you all will enjoy it just as much as I love doing it.
